Judges and Judging Criteria
Contest judging will be held in February. A panel of hospitality industry professionals not affiliated with the Sponsor will evaluate entries on the bases of design innovation, aesthetics, and functionality in hospitality environments, cost/value, technical advancement, and environmental responsibility (if applicable). In addition, awards may be given by the judges to any product or component of a product not included within the categories. These special Judges’ Awards will be entirely at the judges’ discretion. Multiple awards may be awarded in each category at the sole discretion of the judges. Nightlife awards will be given to the interior designer, architect, and owner of winning and finalist projects.
There are no monetary prizes. Selected winners and finalists will be honored at a celebratory evening at Marquee Las Vegas on March 26, 2018 and will be recognized during the HD Awards event in New York on June 6, 2018 at Cipriani 25 Broadway and featured in the June 2018 issue of Hospitality Design magazine.
